He has extensive experience managing energy infrastructure and driving growth in utilities and distributed generation.
Carl is skilled at navigating both the technical and commercial sides of energy from system design and project delivery to strategy and partnerships.
He believes that innovation happens when engineering expertise and business insight come together.

Dr Mark Bew MBE — Chief Technology Officer (CTO)
As CTO, Mark sets the technology vision for The Energy Group, leading innovation across systems, data, and smart infrastructure.
He brings a strong engineering mindset and a collaborative approach, always considering how technology can create impact for people, communities, and the planet.
Before joining The Energy Group, Mark led national digital transformation initiatives, advised government on infrastructure standards, and held senior leadership positions in major engineering and technology organisations.
His focus is on building scalable, sustainable, and resilient solutions for the energy transition.

Nils is the strategic driver behind The Energy Group’s long-term growth.
With a career spanning global technology and energy companies, he has worked on developing commercial models, building partnerships, and helping businesses scale.
Nils specialises in spotting opportunities early, aligning technology, teams, and strategy to bring innovative solutions to market.
